We spent a beautiful day yesterday on Salt Spring Island touring local residents with wonderful talents. Our first stop was visiting with the Bread Lady, otherwise known as Heather Campbell and her husband. We got to experience Heather’s unbelievable breads and treats and they invited us all into their stunning home.

Our next stop was the Salt Spring Island Cheese Company – which I have to say has the best fresh goat cheese I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.

And lastly, our fabulous lunch was hosted by Hastings House. It is a magical spot on the edge of the water. The staff was wonderful and the food was even better!!

A big thank-you to Cathy from Travel with Taste. She was the perfect guide!!

Also, words cannot express the experience that Richard and Amy of Red Leaf Studios gave to all of us. I left their workshop full of inspiration and creativity. They are such wonderful, giving people and I hope they know how much their knowledge and talent is appreciated!

I can’t even tell you how much I am enjoying the Red Leaf workshop!! The information we are being given is invaluable and I very much enjoyed the shooting assignments we were given this afternoon. And I got somewhat attached to my subject – the pear! Here’s a sneak peek from today:
